The second day of GTH’s 3-day overland journey took students deep into Perak’s cultural and natural heritage. At the Kinta Tin Mining Museum in Kampar, students learned about Malaysia’s tin mining heyday, exploring vintage tools and hearing stories of miners’ resilience, gaining a profound appreciation for Malaysia’s industrial past.
At Gua Tempurung, the students stepped into a mystical world of stunning geological formations. The cool air, ancient rock walls, and echoing drips immersed them in nature’s timeless beauty.
The day concluded at the elegant Ipoh Railway Station, a colonial landmark rich in history. Students reflected on its Victorian design and cultural significance, embracing the deeper mission of guiding: preserving and sharing stories of the past.
This day’s journey enriched both knowledge and spirit, preparing students for the responsibilities of exceptional tour guides.
