Malaysia is a travel book that never seems to run out of pages. This time, GTH alumni travelled north for an immersive tour guide training journey through Perlis, Kedah, and Penang, discovering a side of the country that many travellers have yet to explore.
From royal heritage and multicultural communities to dramatic caves, peaceful lakes, border towns, and rural landscapes, the journey revealed how diverse northern Malaysia can be. More importantly, every experience became an opportunity for alumni to observe destinations from a professional guide’s perspective.
For tour guides, learning does not end after graduation. The tourism industry is constantly evolving, and every new route brings fresh knowledge, stories, and challenges. Through continuous practical training, GTH alumni strengthen their destination knowledge, guiding skills, and ability to create more meaningful travel experiences.
From south to north, familiar cities to hidden corners, there is always another story waiting to be discovered and shared.
