Stepping out of the classroom, GTH Kuala Lumpur tour guide course students embarked on a cultural journey to Bentong, a charming century-old town rich with heritage and stories.

At the Bentong Gallery, nestled on the historic Loke Yew Street, students uncovered the town’s mining legacy and its ties to pioneers like Loke Yew, Cheong Fatt Tze, and Eu Tong Sen in the 19th century. The gallery now stands as a living museum blending tourism and history, recognized by Tourism Malaysia since 2019.

The journey continued at Bentong Leisure Farm, where students engaged with nature, learning about the lifecycle of local fruits—especially the famed durian—from seed to harvest.

This immersive experience showed students that guiding is more than facts—it’s about storytelling, emotion, and connection. In Bentong, they learned not just to guide through landscapes, but to lead with heart.
