Students from GTH Johor Bahru recently took part in outdoor field practice, bringing classroom learning into real cultural settings.
From Kilometer Zero at the southernmost tip of mainland Asia to the Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum, Sikh Temple, and Johor Old Temple, trainees practiced guiding within Malaysia’s rich multicultural environment.
As tourism continues to grow, professional guides must develop more than route knowledge. Clear communication, cultural understanding, and practical experience are essential skills.
Through hands on training, students learned to present Malaysia’s stories with confidence and authenticity, preparing themselves to become the voices that welcome visitors and share the nation’s heritage.
